What We Offer Our Students

You truly leave a lasting impact on everyone you work with - the lessons you taught me have been some of the most important things I’ve ever learned...
— Thayer, student

We operate from the Stanton Guildhouse, nestled in the physical and cultural heart of the Cotswold hills.

Alongside our rigorous academic program, we offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities across arts and crafts, physical exercises, cultural learning and much more. We give each student an opportunity to learn varied craft skills from master craftsmen, to make objects of beauty that they can take pride in.

Our unique project-based learning gives students a chance to deepen their knowledge, develop valuable skills and create projects that have real world value.

We have an invigorating schedule of daily physical activities, ranging from hiking and bouldering to horse-riding. our students will get to spend hours outdoors in nature every day.

Our Advisory Board

Health and Safety and Safeguarding committments:

“I have worked with both James and Pip at The Winter Term over the last 10 years. I am delighted that they are continuing the tradition of creating programs for young people based on the philosophy that constituted the most formative educational experience of my own life. James and Pip have been thoughtful, caring and successful mentors to students at this crucial age of their development and I have seen many young lives and perspectives changed under their tutelage. The fine connection we have forged in working together will continue as they undertake this new venture. I believe they will provide an extraordinary opportunity for students who attend The English Guild Experience, based on their consistent and remarkable contribution to The Winter Terms at which they have taught. It is because of this belief that I have agreed to be on their advisory board, to contribute in any way I can to maintain the high standards they have set for themselves.”

— John Curtis, Founder of The Winter Term
